BIO

Multidisciplinary artist French and Moroccan originins, I first studied at the Beaux-Arts de Bretagne, in the art section, with a specialization in screen printing, before continuing my studies at ENSAV La Cambre in textile design.

SLOW PROCESS, UPCYCLED STUFFS

My practice revolves around textile creation, which I approach as a space for experimentation. I explore various mediums and techniques: from simple threads that I machine-knit, to designing recycled surfaces, as well as patchwork assemblies with multiple purposes. Each piece is conceived as a conscious object - the result of research on material sourcing, the reuse of existing resources, and the recyclability of the assemblies.

My personal background deeply informs my work. Having grown up between France and Morocco, I have constantly navigated two cultures, sometimes with contrasting, even opposing, imaginaries.

This dual belonging has often created a sense of in-betweennes - a gaze that is sometimes ambiguous on hybridity, perceived at times as a richness and at other times as a disturbing otherness.
My work precisely explores this identity ambivalence. I weave together influences, textures, and symbols: colors and opulence inspired by North African aesthetics, often idealized, interact with visual references from my Western culture and upbringing, creating a meeting point where traditions, hybridizations, and nods to pop culture intertwine.
